Help Finley Heal: Support His Vet Care
Beschermde donatie
Hello everyone!
If you’re new to Finleys journey, here’s a quick recap.
In early November, a dog was wandering through an intersection (on Finley St) of Anna, Texas in the pouring rain. He was lost and confused. People tried to stop and help, but he would run with fear. A week went by, and many people continued to spot him as he moved from one city to the next. Eventually, Finely found himself living on the side of Highway 121 and 75.
He camped out here through multiple rain storms and cold nights, finding shelter in the soon to be HEB. Myself and a couple of other dog lovers decided it was time to dedicate our time to this sweet boy. The entire community came together as one for Finley, and we were overwhelmed with the amount of dog food donations that we had received!
Hours upon hours we spent gaining his trust and showing him that he was loved.
Fin was terrified of sudden movements, loud noises, and leashes which made it nearly impossible to capture him. We decided to call in a professional trapper (Kacy Hendricks with Hopes Rescue and Recovery Angels), and within days he was in our arms!
Now the “after capture” part…
There is a lot of vet work to be done on this sweet baby. The initial vetting was covered by an anonymous donation.
Here are the facts-
- Heartworm POSITIVE
- Heartworm treatment (He is 72 lbs right now and the treatment is based on weight. He will need 5 vials of the injection)
- possible tail fracture
- X-rays needed to determine severity of fracture
- possible tail surgery
- Neutering
We are including any donations that have already been made toward Finley prior to knowing the extent of his conditions. If you are able to help AT ALL, you would be part of changing this babies life.
*anything that exceeds our goal will be donated to Kacy Hendricks and her non profit organization.
