Hi, we are PepFilmStudios, an independent Black-led film company based in Oakland, California. Our mission is simple. We tell bold, culture-forward stories that reflect real voices, untold truths, and the creative power of our community.

We just wrapped filming our very first feature film, “The Migos” a gritty, emotional revenge thriller shot entirely across Oakland and nearby cities using one videographer, one boom mic, a small crew, and a cast of raw, talented local actors.

What is The Migos about?

The film follows a young woman who survives a home invasion, only to uncover that her new love interest is secretly connected to the people who destroyed her past. What unfolds is a story of secrets, sisterhood, and a high-stakes heist led by an all-female crew determined to take back everything with interest.

Why We Are Raising Funds

We gave everything we had to bring this film to life. Now we need your support to bring it across the finish line.

We are raising funds to cover:

• Sound design and audio mixing

• Color grading

• Festival submissions and marketing materials

• ️ A community screening tour across eleven Northern California cities
