Take a Stand, Have a Laugh, and Help the Film that Pokes Fun at the Fathers of Marxism!
Hi, I’m Elena D Clark, the writer and producer of Marianne and the Rebels, a sharp-witted comedy that humorously tackles Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, the minds behind Marxism. It’s a fun, satirical take on their world-shaking ideas, and yes, it’s also a reminder of why some ideas are better left in the past.
Why does this matter? Because today, echoes of Marxism are making a comeback, and it’s time to offer a light-hearted, smart counterpoint. Marianne and the Rebels is more than a comedy—it’s a way to stop, think, and laugh about history repeating itself.
The film is my next step after the success of Manifesto, a zoom theatre project created during the lockdown that earned ten awards, including top honors in Manhattan and Hollywood festivals. Now, I’m taking the humor, the message, and the spirit of that project to the next level. We just concluded the post-production, and with your support, this film will be ready to share with Film Festivals 2025.
Having grown up in Soviet Russia, I know firsthand the impact of Marxist ideas. Immigrating to the U.S. ten years ago gave me a platform to express my own voice and passion for free markets, personal responsibility, and freedom. Marianne and the Rebels is my story, wrapped in a funny, rebellious, and insightful package.
We’re on the final leg of the journey, and this is where you come in. With a small contribution you’re helping to submit the film to Festivals. Your support ensures this satirical film hits its mark and reaches audiences worldwide.
Be part of the movement. Take a stand, have some fun, and help us deliver a history lesson like no other.
