Hi! I'm Elliot Lobell—an independent stop-motion filmmaker. I’m reaching out for your support to help bring my stop-motion animated film, "Edward," across the finish line. After years of pouring my heart, creativity, and personal savings into this project, I’m so close to completing it. What’s needed now are the final touches—professional musicians and sound designers to create a beautiful soundtrack, and support for film festival submission fees—so "Edward" can truly shine and reach audiences everywhere.
'Edward' is set in the world of early 20th-century sideshows and is brought to life through meticulous craftsmanship and creative passion. Every element is entirely handcrafted. The sets are built from scratch, using wood, fabric, and found materials to authentically capture the atmosphere of the era. Each puppet is sculpted, molded, and painted by hand, with faces carefully designed to express a full range of emotion. Costumes are sewn from miniature patterns, with every button, stitch, and accessory crafted to scale. The props, from circus banners to tiny instruments, are individually constructed and painted. Every frame of animation is created by moving these puppets and objects by hand, one tiny increment at a time, resulting in thousands of photographs that are then sequenced to create the illusion of life.
Throughout this journey, I have managed every aspect of production on my own, investing my time, skills, and personal savings to bring this project to life. Your contribution will make a tangible difference in the success of this project. By supporting this campaign, you are helping an independent artist complete a long-term creative vision and share it with the world. Thank you for believing in the power of independent filmmaking and for helping bring 'Edward' to life.
