Hello, my name is Gianni and at the end of this year I will travel as a volunteer to support St. Justine’s School in Kidatu, Tanzania.
The school was founded in July 2013 by Lusaka Magesa to help children who cannot get education due to the shortage of school places. Many of the children are poor or orphans, and before joining the school they often had to work or lived on the streets without supervision.
St. Justine’s School provides free education and currently includes a preschool and a primary school. In Tanzania, children are legally required to attend one year of preschool before they can enter primary school, so the preschool is a crucial step.
The school’s main goal is to reduce the lack of statutory preschool and primary school places in the Kidatu area. Another important focus is consistent English instruction, which is essential for giving students better opportunities in the future.
Right now, the school faces a pressing challenge:
• There is an unfinished building, which includes a classroom and an office.
• Additional funds are needed to buy school materials, desks, and uniforms for the children.
With your support, we can finish the construction and provide the resources needed so that more children can learn in a safe and supportive environment.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will directly help the children of St. Justine’s School. Thank you for your support!
