Hi everyone,
We are reaching out during one of the most difficult moments our family has faced.
Our brother, Terrence Scott, is currently missing. He was last known to be in Palm Springs, California, with possible travel to the Los Angeles area. A missing person report has been filed, and his information has been entered into the national missing persons database. His local community has shown incredible care and support, and we are doing everything we can to help bring him home safely.
Terrence has lived with mental health challenges since 2008, when we lost our mother. Her passing deeply affected all of us — especially Terrence, only 17 when she passed. Over time, his grief and loss evolved into a serious mental health condition, and while he has had periods of stability, he is considered a vulnerable adult.
This moment feels especially urgent. While our family has experienced periods of separation before, we are not willing to let this become another long-term disappearance. Terry needs to be located, supported, and protected — now.
We are trying to travel to Palm Springs immediately so that we can:
• Work directly with police and outreach teams
• Visit shelters and hospitals in person
• Coordinate next steps once he is found
• Advocate for his care, safety, and stability
The cost of last-minute travel is more than our family can manage on our own. Funds raised will go only toward:
• Round-trip flights for family members
• Temporary lodging (Airbnb or hotel)
• Rental car and local transportation
Any support — whether through donating or sharing — helps us move closer to finding Terry and bringing him to safety.
Thank you for holding our family in your thoughts and for helping us during this incredibly vulnerable time.
With gratitude,
Candace, Brittany & Family
