Hi, my name is Jenn. I am creating this GoFundMe solely and specifically to cover legal expenses related to one case only — the disappearance of a rescue cat named Sandy in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Important Clarification
This fundraiser is NOT for general rescue operations, ongoing veterinary care, or other cats currently in rescue.
This fund is completely separate from Ozzi’s Angels Rescue operations.
Every dollar raised through this GoFundMe will be used only for legal costs associated with Sandy’s case.
Why This Fund Exists
Sandy was adopted under a legally binding adoption contract that required proper care, truthful communication, and immediate notification if the cat was lost, injured, or could no longer remain in the home.
Those terms were violated.
After repeated attempts to resolve this cooperatively, Sandy’s whereabouts remain unknown, with conflicting accounts provided. Due to the seriousness of the situation — and the welfare of an animal who cannot advocate for himself — I am personally pursuing legal counsel to enforce the adoption contract and obtain truthful information regarding Sandy’s status and location.
This is a decision I am making independently and responsibly, and it comes with significant legal costs.
How Funds Will Be Used (Sandy’s Case Only)
Funds raised will be used exclusively for:
• Attorney consultation and retainer fees
• Legal correspondence and filings
• Contract enforcement actions
• Any court-related expenses directly tied to Sandy’s case
No funds will be used for:
• Daily rescue expenses
• Veterinary care for other animals
• Food, supplies, or foster costs
• Ongoing rescue operations
Why I Am Asking for Help
Legal action is costly, but allowing a rescue animal to disappear without accountability is not acceptable to me. This fundraiser exists so that Sandy has advocacy, transparency, and a real chance at answers.
