My name is Tara Rice, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart. On September 29, 2025, my beloved son Marquis Nelson went missing in the waters of Far Rockaway Beach. As of today, two months have passed, and we still have no answers. The pain of not knowing where Marquis is feels like a knife in my heart, and every day I look out my window at the beach, hoping for a miracle. This has been the most difficult time of my life, and our family is struggling to cope with the uncertainty and heartbreak.

I am creating this GoFundMe to raise funds so I can hire a professional search team to continue looking for Marquis. The official search efforts have ended, but I am not ready to give up hope. I want to do everything possible to bring my baby home. Any remaining funds will go to support Marquis’s children, who miss their father dearly and are also facing this unimaginable loss.
