Mama Kitty is missing, and we need your help

Day 12: Mama Kitty is still out there.

Mama Kitty is a gentle, soulful gray girl who was just learning what it meant to be loved. In her previous home, she would wait patiently at the bottom of the stairs each morning, playing with the rug until her human woke up. She’d greet the day with soft purrs and affectionate leg hugs—her way of saying “thank you” and “I love you” all at once.

This 4-year-old domestic shorthair once lived outdoors but had been a happy indoor cat for more than a year. She was recently adopted and just beginning to explore her new surroundings before she slipped out unexpectedly. She hadn’t yet had the chance to settle in or find her favorite perch—but she was on her way to blooming into the gentle queen she was always meant to be.

On September 15, Mama Kitty slipped out of her new home.

She was last seen near Main Street and Sunrise Ave in Amherst, MA.

She doesn’t know the area and is likely hiding nearby, scared and unsure. Her adoptive family has searched tirelessly: posting flyers, checking with neighbors, contacting shelters, and walking the neighborhood at all hours. But so far, no one has seen her.

Mama Kitty is timid but deeply affectionate once she feels safe. We believe she’s still close by, but time is critical. To bring her home, we need professional help.
