1/25/2022 Unfortunate Update
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to share this, Lawrence “Butch” Fernandes has been found but it is not the news that we hoped and prayed for. We have tirelessly searched for him following all possible leads of siting’s of him for the past seven months believing he was back Massachusetts but on Wednesday January 19th, 2022 Butch was found in Richmond, Virginia due to the conditions of his body it is presumed he passed away approximately 7 months ago.
This is not the type of situation that a family generally prepares for and he hadn’t either he was a man who had little and asked for nothing but would give you the shirt off his back, with the untimeliness of his passing we are unable to financially proceed with the next steps of the very heartbreaking situation. We know a lot of families are experiencing financial hardships in the current climate we live in. We are asking for any assistance you can afford so we can bring him home nearer to his family, his remains need to be cremated and transported back to Massachusetts for a service so our family can have closure.
All contributions will be directly & properly allocated towards the cremation, transport of his remains and Celebration of life. It would greatly and appreciatively be used for this sole endeavor.

On June 8th, Lawrence J Fernandes Jr, was traveling down to North Carolina to help a friend. He left Boston out of South Station on a Greyhound bus heading to Charlotte, North Carolina. Lawrence was continually checking in with his family at rest-stops at the beginning of his trip, but all contact was lost on June 10th while in Richmond Virginia. His ticket was not scanned for the connecting bus to North Carolina and he never arrived at his final destination.

Our family has been working tirelessly to find our loved one. We have spent time and money reaching out to city police, news outlets, putting up fliers in multiple cities and locations, and canvasing. We want to find out what happened to Lawrence and are praying that we can bring him home.
We are setting up this page to help raise funds for additional resource so we can continue the search.
