As many of you know, my brother James has struggled with Schizoaffective Disorder for over 17 years.
Over the course of the last year, his illness has increased its menacing grip. As a direct result, he has lost his ability to perceive the world from a sound perspective.
Follow below for a timeline of events as best I have pieced together.
Two Months ago:
James moves out of his apartment in El Paso, Texas with intent of finding employment in Las Vegas.
1.5 Months ago:
James is evicted from his apartment in Las Vegas.
No contact for some time.
20 days ago today (11/02/2017):
James appears briefly on Facebook. He messages me, my father, and posts heartbreakingly delusional messages to some family members.
At this time, James files a stolen vehicle report in West Los Angeles, California.
He suggested the persons responsible for stealing his vehicle had also stolen his dog Gibbs, shaved him, then returned him, unharmed.
It is now known James parked his vehicle in a no parking space. The vehicle was towed for improper parking, expired tag, and expired insurance. This vehicle has since, and currently is, sitting in a tow yard for a rate of $60.00/day.
There has been no contact with James since the stolen vehicle report was filed.
James has no identification.
James has no vehicle.
James has no wallet or access to his money.
James is unable to make sound decisions.
James has never gone this long without contact.
James, my brother, a son, a grandson, a cousin, and most importantly, a friend to all IS MISSING.
Why I am asking for help:
This disease has wreaked a seemingly incomprehensible financial strain on my family for the last 17 years.
I am asking for assistance to help offset the cost for the Private Investigative Team I have hired in Los Angeles.
Robert Mann of Worldwide Intelligence Network
is leading the investigation.
Breakdown of initial expenses as stated by Mr. Mann in our correspondence:
"Patrick, for us to take on this assignment, we would require a retainer of $3120 which covers:
-Two field investigators working the West Hollywood homeless shelters and neighborhood.
-Our office conducting research on homeless shelters in or near West Hollywood with an emphasis on shelters who might allow pets.
-Speaking with the Deputy who took the stolen vehicle report from your brother.
With some real investigative foot work, research and a little luck we might just find your brother.
All the best,
Please help me find my brother so I can get him the help he so desperately needs.
On behalf of our parents, Michael and Diana,
