Hi, my name is Ella.
I grew up with Tahnee in the small community of Conway Beach.
I’ve set up this gofundme page in the hope to raise money for the Shanks family’s search for Tahnee and to bring her two-year-old daughter Addy home.
No one has heard from Tahnee since 2 May and her daughter Adeline ‘Addy’ has since been found alone wandering the streets of Cancun – suspected to have been abandoned outside a church by her father.
Everyone has a thousand unanswered questions. And the only clear decision has been for Tahnee’s mum and brother Ben to board a plane from Mackay (Queensland) to start the desperate search for her.
Tahnee is a experienced and accomplished traveller. She started travelling around the world at 18, however has been living in the City of Merida since before having Addy, with her ex-partner Jorge Luis Aguirre Astudillo.
Tahnee had plans in the making of returning to Australia with Addy. However, increased covid restraints made the process of getting Addy an Australian citizenship very difficult and expensive. Cancun was their last planned trip together.
While everyone is absolutely hoping for the best outcome, her ex-partner’s history of domestic violence and several jail terms is creating increased fears and panic for her safety.
Please help us find Tahnee and bring them both safely home, where they belong.
