Toto is a sweet, gentle, former stray pup rescued from behind a KFC by Ron and Carol George. He enjoys retired life, napping on the couch, his two 1-hour long walks and... not surprisingly, chicken. 

Lately, Toto has not been himself. He has had a persistent fever, little energy and a poor appetite. We thought that the smoke from the California wildfires might be affecting him, but his symptoms seem to be getting worse.

Over the past 2 weeks, Toto's health took a steep decline. He's had multiple blood tests, x-rays, and ultrasounds, and the vets still can't figure out what's going on. Last night (9/7/2020), Toto was given a blood transfusion and was placed on a feeding tube, and we're anticipating more testing and treatments over the next few weeks as the vets identify his health issues.

We are praying for Toto and hope to give him his best chance at getting better. As we search for a cure for Toto, we're asking friends and family for support during this challenging time. No matter how small, anything will help. Thank you.
