Help find a cure for Dany’s leg

Hello, our names are Allie and Jackson Halsmer and we are raising funds for our sweet girl named Dany. Dany is our 3 year old, water loving, silver lab. Dany is our first dog, our first fur baby, and I am not sure we will find a dog like her ever again in our lifetime. She became a part of our family three years ago this September and has brought an endless amount of joy into our lives (maybe not our cat’s).

After two of the best years of snuggling on the couch together, swimming at grandma and grandpa’s pool, spending many summer days at her favorite neighbor’s lake house we discovered her rare leg condition. Since Dany was a puppy, we believe she was born with something wrong in her left hind leg that has continued to slowly cause her leg to swell up over time. For the first two years, she was never affected by her leg issue. Over the past week, Dany’s leg swelling has dramatically increased in size and now has started to cause her discomfort and pain during her every day routine and activities. It is heartbreaking to watch her lose her fun loving, happy personality.

This year, we have visited several different local vets and a vet specialist, but have been unable to get an answer to her rare condition. These funds will help cover the cost of a CT scan and the recommended surgical operation to hopefully cure the stem of the issue causing her swollen leg. We are praying for a miracle that we can get answers soon and have our girl around for many years to come.
