Dear friends, family and lovely people of this world,
This year has been a big one. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved to sing and write songs and over the years it has become a bigger and bigger part of my life. This year however, I really committed to developing my artistry in new ways. Between finishing school and working I have been pouring my time into developing the songs for a debut album of original music. After four months of playing sold-out "Rose Angeline" shows all around Montreal's plateau with a 10-piece band, I feel closer than ever to realizing this long time goal.
The songs themselves are intimate portals into the world of my heart, full of stories from the last five years told through poetry and sound. Together they share a journey of connection - what it means to reach for it, lose it, and search for it once more. Originally composed with nothing but my acoustic guitar, the songs have evolved with glorious accompaniment from fellow musicians and friends. I feel ready and determined to share this sonic journey with the world as it represents my belief in the power of community and love in turbulent times.
I feel so grateful for the network of people around me who believe in my ability and the potential of the project. Furthermore, I am blessed to be surrounded with so many phenomenal artists and musicians whose contribution would undoubtedly enrich and bring the project to a whole other level.
The challenge I am facing with this project is my capacity to pay people fairly for their support and contribution towards the project. I would love to pay my musicians as well as a qualified audio engineer to support me with the production. Although I wish to develop my skills to produce an album on my own, I would love to be able to bring in trusted mentors to support me through the process.
Although I believe many of my band members would play for free, it is undeniable that some kind of payment would grant everyone more capacity to carve out time and put their focus towards the project.
I am therefore putting out this request with the hope that you might consider contributing towards the production budget. If I was able to crowdfund 6000$ I could cover studio rental fees, musician honorariums, and the cost of hiring an audio engineer who would help produce, mix, and master the album tracks. With this budget in mind, know that anything helps!
Recording and production of the album would take place from January to March of 2026 with an anticipated release in May 2026. However, for the special folks who donate, you can expect an exclusive listening experience before the official release!!;)
I greatly appreciate your generosity and belief in my dreams. I am pinching myself to be at the point where this is even a possibility, so thank you for helping make the vision a reality.
