Help finalize Dr. Howard Feder Memorial UAF Scholarship

My name is Robyn Shepard (previously Feder), and I am Dr. Howard Feder's youngest daughter. In 2019, we all lost an amazing father, grandpa, friend, colleague, mentor, veteran, and marine biologist. In lieu of flowers, my sibling Holly, Susan, Lyn, Conrad and I started a Memorial Scholarship through the University of Alaska, where our dad was a professor for over 30 years. This was formed to establish a scholarship for Marine Biology and Fisheries students to honor our dad's many years as a Marine Biologist and professor at UAF.

It has been 5 years since we lost our best friend, and through the grief and raising families, we are ready to hopefully reach our goal amount of $25,000 to make this scholarship endowed and allow UAF to begin awarding scholarships in our dad's memory. If we reach the goal ENDOWED amount, this means scholarships can be given out yearly to students *FOREVER* rather than only until a set amount of money is gone. We are so close... Only $8,436.64 plus finishing costs to complete.

Our hope is with the help of our community, we can reach this goal as soon as possible, and let our dad's name live on through the university and profession he loved so much and find a way to help students in the way he mentored so many. His desire to help students in their education and career path is something we all knew and loved about him so much.
