Lilypad Library is a new children’s series created by Kiersten Case, an autistic creator and musician committed to inclusive, developmentally supportive storytelling.
Inspired by classic educational programs such as Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, the show blends puppetry, live action, music, and evidence-based early childhood teaching practices to create a calm and emotionally warm learning environment.
Set in the musical town of Singalong Swamp, the story follows Dots the Frog and Lotsa the Axolotl as they prepare for kindergarten. Guided by Ms. Dottie, the community’s librarian, children learn:
• Kindergarten readiness skills
• Foundational literacy & math concepts
• Listening, problem-solving, & emotional regulation
• Neurodivergent perspectives & inclusivity
• Foundational civics (voting, community roles, fairness)
Our volunteer team includes early childhood educators, researchers, puppeteers, and experienced producers. After successfully filming a no-budget pilot, we are raising funds to create a fully produced three-episode pilot or full first season.
Your donation directly supports:
• Paying artists a fair wage
• Building puppets & sets
• Filming, editing, and post-production
• Music composition
• Accessibility features (captions, sensory guides, etc.)
