# Empowering Filipino Runners:

Support Talented Athletes in Need

Hello, fellow running enthusiasts!

As an American living in the Philippines, I've had the privilege of joining ERC, Enduro Runners Club, a local running club comprised of incredibly talented and dedicated athletes. Despite their passion and potential, many of my teammates face significant financial barriers that prevent them from reaching their full potential.

*The Challenge*

Race registration fees and running gear are luxuries many of my teammates cannot afford. With registration fees ranging from $10 to $40 and potential winnings of up to $100, podium finishes can be a game-changer for families struggling to make ends meet. However, without support, these talented athletes will continue to miss out on opportunities to compete, grow, and showcase their talents.

*Our Goal*

We're seeking to raise $4000 to cover race registration fees and purchase essential running gear for our teammates. Your contribution will help level the playing field and give these deserving athletes a chance to shine.

*How the Funds Will Be Used*

All donations will go directly towards:

- Race registration fees for local and national competitions

- Purchasing running shoes, apparel, and other essential gear

- Supporting team training and development initiatives

*A Unique Approach to Empowerment*

To promote financial responsibility, we'll be implementing a loan program for our runners. Athletes will be able to borrow funds from our GoFundMe campaign to cover registration fees and gear. When they win, they'll repay the loan with a portion of their winnings. This approach will not only support our runners but also teach them valuable lessons about financial management.
