Help Fight for Ray's Recovery

Our dear friend Ray Werfelmann and his wife Ruth need your help. On Friday, October 18, Ray was hospitalized with what the doctors believed was pneumonia. On Tuesday, October 22, they ran an MRI and found that actually, Ray had a massive stroke four days earlier. Although Ray is fully cognizant of what's going on around him, he is unable to talk and is paralyzed from the neck down - it's called "Locked-In Syndrome," similar to what Stephen Hawking had. Ray hopes to come home, but may have to go to a facility that specializes in his treatment. In any event he will need a nurse 24/7. Ray and Ruth have insurance, but of course insurance has caps and Ray will soon hit his cap limit. His friends got together and are trying to help make up the difference.
