Help fight Clementine's tumor

First, let me say, this is not a fundraiser for Cort Javarone. It is for my nine year old cousin, Clementine. Clem has a brain tumor and her mother, my cousin Cori, could use a little help. Cort has been kind enough to advance the money to the fundraiser and maintain oversight so the bills are paid! For this reason, GoFundMe lists him as "Beneficiary". I was reluctant to start this fundraiser. I was worried my cousin Cori would be insulted or too embarrassed to ask for some help. Cori is a single mom raising twin nine year old girls whose dad is out of the picture... Completely out, meaning he doesn't contribute to their expenses at all. Up until now, Cori has been able to care for the girls. She gets up every morning and makes them breakfast before leaving them with her mom for the day to home school (due to COVID) while Cori goes to her essential job at a medical clinic. Cori provides a nice home, food, clothes, medical insurance, toys... All the things kids need to thrive! While there hasn't always been a lot of extras, there has always been enough. Last week, Cori and the girls had their world turned upside-down. One of the girls, Clementine, has been having headaches. It was assumed they were a result of too much computer time from "zoom school" but an MRI was ordered, just to be sure. The MRI showed a 2cm tumor on Clemie's brain. She has been fast tracked at UCD (University of California Davis) and is having surgery to remove the tumor on February 22. Suddenly, a lot of things that were "just fine" are no longer viable. Cori drives an old car that is not safe for the hour drive between their home and the hospital, and there will be a lot of drives between their home and the hospital... And while insurance covers the basics, expenses are starting to pop up and will continue to incur. There is an immediate need for a safe vehicle and for a fund to cover the expenses not covered by insurance. It's difficult to ask for help but right now Cori needs help and Clementine needs a village and that's us.
