Hi, my name is Dara Sabathe and I am setting up a go fund me fundraiser on behalf of my sister(Dana) and future Brother in law(Jason)to help raise money for their son Christopher Gallaher, age 17, to fight Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Christopher is a senior in high school and was looking forward to his big year. He has worked very hard academically and loves school. Unfortunately, he has been recently withdrawn from school, due to his diagnosis, and now has to take all classes online and cannot attend school activities. He has dreams of joining the Navy. He recently met with the Navy in hopes of pursuing his dream, but on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, that dream got put on hold. He was brought to the er in Ann Arbor, MI for chest pain. After undergoing lots of tests, labs, scans, and biopsies the doctors at Mott’s Children Hospital confirmed he has Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Christopher has a long road ahead of him this year. That includes 6 months of aggressive chemotherapy. He did receive his first dose of chemo on Saturday, September 23rd, as an inpatient. He is expected to be released later this week and continue treatments as an outpatient. This will require his parents and step parents to miss work, along with added medical bills, extra gas expenses(45 min drive each way), parking, food, etc.

Christopher is a strong young man and will beat this, but it will be a hard, long road for him and his family. He has a great support team but they will need financial help in fighting this battle with him. This battle takes a village! More importantly, please pray for Christopher’s healing, his family to find strength to fight with/along side of him and for his siblings to find reassurance that their brother is going to be ok.
