A friend of mine is needing to undergo an Exposed Laminectomy Spinal surgery. this is the last long shot for help.

Willow has been diagnosed with Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak and Spontaneous Intracranial Hypertension.

She has been battling a CSF leak, Cerebrospinal fluid leak due to injuries from a car accident in 2019.
She was unable to get the proper care in Queensland and has now had to get a CSF leak Specialist for Neurosurgery and spine.

Willow has undergone several procedures over the last 6 years, including the most recent being days before Christmas for a Fibrin Glue Patch in between her T11 and T12 vertebras.

She has exhausted all medical procedures available, and this is the next step to help reduce the pain she lives in and help solve the leak, her health has reached a point where this surgery is necessary and truly life-changing. She’s also sole Carer to a young child, and this will mean big changes for her and her family.

This is one of those times where our community has a chance to come together in a really meaningful way A time to rally around someone who deserves support, strength and kindness during what is an incredibly challenging season.

This surgery she will undergo involves Willow having her Spine decompressed and exposed, the Surgeon will remove several vertebrae's to have a clear view of the Spinal cord and Dura and begin to search for not only the leak that is occurring at the T11 and T12 but if there is anymore that has been missed by a Myelogram, the Surgeon will repair all leaks while she is under, we are still are waiting on details of what will be used to seal the leaks.

Willow has spent more time inside a hospital or in bed than anyone should have to deal with. She wants nothing more than to be able to run around with her son.

Willows symptoms affect her everyday life I have listed some below to give you a picture of what she is experiencing every day.
  • Severe postural headaches
  • Seizures
  • Auditory and Visual changes
  • Migraines
  • Fluid Leaks - Ears and Nose
  • Nausea/ Vomiting
  • Dizziness
  • Extreme Fatigue
  • Light and sound sensitivity
  • Brain Fog

Please help us raise these funds for Willow to get her the help she needs.
