Figaro has been my loyal companion for 11 years, and he means the world to me. Today, I had to rush him to a 24-hour Emergency Vet clinic because he suddenly stopped eating. For several weeks, he has been suffering from frequent vomiting, constant diarrhea, and has become very lethargic. Seeing him like this has been heartbreaking, and I knew I had to act quickly to get him the help he needs.

The emergency visit today resulted in a series of tests and a treatment plan, which has already maxed out my CareCredit card. The results were deeply concerning—Figaro’s liver is actively receiving damage, and the vet suspects either a severe liver infection or liver cancer. His white blood cell count is extremely high, and his liver enzymes are severely elevated. Right now, Figaro desperately needs abdominal ultrasounds, further tests, scans, medication, and the expertise of an internal medicine specialist. There’s also a possibility that he will need to be admitted for overnight tests and treatments to give him the best chance at recovery.

Figaro is not just a pet; he is my best friend and has been by my side through so much. He is truly like a son to me because I have no living children. I am reaching out to this caring community because I want to give Figaro every chance possible to get better.
