Help Fig Fight Lymphoma: Support Natalie

2 months ago, Natalie’s lively 5-year-old dog, Fig, had a routine visit to the veterinarian with healthy results. Several weeks after the successful checkup, we noticed that his lymph nodes were prominently enlarged.

Following further examinations and testing, Fig has been diagnosed with lymphoma. The diagnosis is nothing short of devastating.

This diagnosis comes as a huge surprise - Fig is young and full of life. He still crushes bowls of fancy foods, plays copious amounts of fetch, makes a mess around the water bowl, sniffs flowers on walks and cosplays as secret service while protecting his sweet momma Natalie.

Our hope is to provide Fig with the highest-possible quality of life. Fig is under the care of Dr. Angharad Waite at the Oncology Service, her guidance has instilled hope that Fig should continue living a joyous life.

Chemotherapy is a scary and expensive process, two reasons I assume so many pets don’t receive treatment. Natalie estimates that the costs will be over $12,000 after blood panels, examinations, and treatment.

She cannot afford the entire regimen on her own, so we are seeking help from the community to pay for the treatment that will keep Fig healthy and comfortable.

Natalie received $4,000 of financial aid from FETCH a Cure through the Companions in Crisis program, a program which could help with the costs of life-saving cancer treatments. FETCH a Cure is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization which works alongside pet companions and the veterinary community to further pet cancer awareness, education, and treatment.

Any funds that are raised which exceed the cost of treatment will be donated to FETCH a Cure.
