Hi friends and fellow animal lovers,

Fig — my tiny, beloved and slightly chaotic cat, recently decided that life just wasn’t exciting enough and went for an impromptu medical adventure: a bowel obstruction via some foam material she decided was just as tasty as her cat food. Long story short: in the last 24 hours, I went from a simple vet visit to an emergency surgery, a hospital stay, and now a very large bill that I never thought I’d be crowdfunding to keep a cat's intestines operational.

The good news: Fig survived the surgery, is on the mend, and will hopefully be back to her mischievous little self (hopefully sans mystery foam from here on out). The bad news: the total cost of saving her life is $6,500 [insert swirly-eyed-crazy-face emoji here]

I’ll do everything I can to cover the costs, but when it comes to $7K, my pride ain't too high to ask if you’re able to chip in — even just a few dollars — anything would help keep Fig in actual cat food and me in slightly fewer tears.
