Hello, my name is Fidencio Martinez. I am a former radio and club DJ. I relocated to the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas twenty years ago with my wife, Elizabeth. Here, we formed a family and together we have been involved in our community, trying to give back some of the blessings God has given us. I have DJed for many elementary, middle, and high schools all for free because my wife and I believe the future is in their hands, and we try to inspire them as much as we can. I would dress up as Santa Claus, and together with my family, we would load up our SUV on Christmas Eve with toys and pizzas and take them to the poorest colonias of South Texas. We would also make and take tacos and food plates for the homeless we would come across.

Everything was great up until six years ago when my health started deteriorating, and being self-employed, I had no insurance coverage. Besides the many illnesses I have been diagnosed with, I am now facing kidney failure and have a few more tests to undergo to find out how bad I am. The reason I am turning to GoFundMe is because I have not paid our taxes in full for the past three years and owe over 10,000. The county is about to foreclose on our home. I do not know where to turn. I am still working, doing DJ events as much as I can, but it has gotten harder for me now that I am 60 and in constant pain. I have had to sell a lot of the DJ equipment I use just to pay the bills. I hope and pray that one day I can go back to being "Santa Claus" like five years ago. I still do Santa videos for free to all the kids of poor families, but I am unable to take them toys like before. God bless everyone, and thank you for donating.
