Help Fidel Get a Life-Saving Heart Transplant

Help for Fidel who needs a heart transplant. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, acute pulmonary embolism with acute cor pulmonale, and he also has type 2 diabetes and chronic right-side heart failure. His heart is only functioning at 30% right now. He’s gotten worse over the last few years, and work has been very difficult as you can imagine.

He lives in New Mexico and has been denied three times in three years for social security and disability, even though he has all the medical paperwork saying he is incapable of working and pretty much doing anything else. They are keeping him in limbo right now. He tried to have the social worker help and has gotten nowhere. So, the money would help with medical, financial, and also to help him at some point to go to Phoenix, AZ to the Mayo Clinic that, God willing, can help him with getting on a list for a new heart. Also, get the benefits he will need for the rest of his life.

Recovery time will take time, and he will still be without work, no home, and unable to care for himself. My mother has spent her life’s savings helping him since this whole situation started. My brother is 47 years of age. He has a son who is 17 and is a single father. We’re just hoping that we could get some support from family, friends, and the community. He’s had to borrow money from whoever he could—my mother, me, and his father—but by no means are we able to continue with the amounts he needs any longer. All we are praying for is for your generosity and kindness and for my brother to feel supported.
