Help Fibromyalgia Sufferer after a Home Fire.

Hi, my name is Angela and I am fundraising for furnishings of a home after fire destroyed all my belongings.

This horrific event occurred a few months ago, whilst myself and my daughter were at home. There was an electrical fault with the emersion heater which caught fire. My daughter alerted me to the smell before the smoke was detected. She was the hero in this incident as I was poorly with Vertigo at the time. She got me my phone to call the emergency services as she guided me out the house!...an Angel.

We were left homeless, with very little of our own. My landlady placed us in a Travelodge until emergency accommodation was available from the Council. Presently we are on the waiting list for properties, which hopefully will be soon. I am reaching out for donations to help with the purchasing of basic home appliances, beds, curtains, carpets, sofa etc to furnish my home.

During the past few months, it has been extremely challenging and daunting. I have been a Fibromyalgia sufferer for many years without diagnosis. I continued to work with the pain and all the other symptoms, treating it with constant painkillers and then going off sick at times during flare up episodes. Due to the trauma of the fire, the symptoms drastically worsened, rendering me unfit to work. This is devastating for me. My GP finally diagnosed Fibromyalgia after further tests were done.

I have worked in the Care and Support Sector since I was 18years old. I've spent 35 years working with people with behaviours that challenged. Ages ranged from very young to the elderly and then death and dying. I consider myself an empath, who absolutely loved the work and the people I cared for. I treated everyone the way I would like to be treated, with dignity and respect. 'Little Acts of Kindness can change someone's world'.

Any help from you guys would be greatly and sincerely appreciated as it has been a struggle financially since the fire. Whatever you can donate will go a long way to my cause. Please help.
