Anyone who knows us understands that Mum was an integral part of the successful results with our Pygmy Possums, waking every two hours to ensure they were fed.

Now mum needs help, her dog Daliha has eaten something which could have killed her. We rushed her to Swans Vets where Dr Alex did everything to ensure she was diagnosed correctly. Eventually an X-ray discovered an obstruction in her stomach which was causing her to vomit blood. After two days in care with X-rays twice a day, medication, intravenous fluids and antibiotics the bill is almost $3000.

Sadly unless she passes the obstruction, which is now in the colon, she may require surgery which will be another $3000.

Because mum is now in a nursing home her pension is only covering her own needs with accommodation and medications.

Hence I’ve decided to ask our loyal followers if you might be able to spare a few dollars to help towards these soaring vet bills. We are already covering initial costs but fast running out of funds. I sincerely believe it’s the least we can all do to help someone who has already given so much to help our native animals and Fauna For The Future’s success with these tiny patients.
