Help Ferris with cancer treatment

This week Jessie found out that Ferris, her dog and best friend of 11 years has terminal bladder cancer. Though she is completely healthy in every other way, the cancer is blocking her urethra and rendering her unable to pee without medical assistance, which means we are going to specialists and keeping her on medications now to elongate what time she has left. She could live for another year with a lot of vet visits and meds, but without that it could just be days. Any time left with Ferris would mean the world since she is still a happy and active dog who should have had many years left to enjoy life. Since every vet visit is in the 100's-1000's, this will be a very rough road not just emotionally but financially. Anything will help. Thank you for reading this

11 years ago, life brought me my best friend, a family member. She was found under Merilou's cousin Emily's house at just 2 months old and even though at 22 I couldn't take care of myself I was going to love this dog. She has been with me through some of the toughest times in my life, 8 of those with Merilou- through loss, my own cancer among other medical conditions, struggles w depression among many other life moments Merilou and I have had. She has been the most unconditionally loving being either of us have ever had. She has touched so many lives not just my own, and is loved deeply by many. Although death is part of life and i accept that, you're never quite prepared when you're faced with it. Losing this dog is the hardest thing outside of losing my father at 18 I have had to face. Ferris is in great spirits and we are taking this on with force and going to keep her with us as long as possible. While this is a terminal disease, the hope is to have her for a few more months to live life to its fullest and make them the best we've had. Any support is so much appreciated and loved.
