Hi everyone, My father Fernando had a significant stroke on the morning of March 11th 2023, he is 52 years old. We were all greatly affected by this. He now has Aphasia and Apraxia of speech, and has lost a lot of function on the right side of his body. Currently he cannot move his whole right arm and has slowly been regaining function in his leg. He has just moved from using a walker to a cane with assistance.
Fernando has physical and speech therapy 5 days a week and needs someone to help him with his therapy and to take him to and from therapy until he can get bus access. We hope to get him a nurse to help him while his wife is back at work. This will allow him to prioritize his recovery process without any obstacles in his way. We would all be so thankful for any help that we can get.
