My heart is completely broken as I write this.

My brother, Fernando Searle, is in the burn ward (ICU) fighting for his life after a fire destroyed his home in Belize. The fire broke out while he was sleeping, and by the time help arrived, everything was gone. He suffered severe burns from his neck down to his bum and has lost absolutely everything — his home, his clothes, his belongings… everything he’s ever worked for.

Right now, he’s in the hospital in critical condition. He is in immense pain and needs specialized burn care and possibly skin grafts. Our family is trying to do everything we can to help rebuild his livelihood, but the cost of a new home and basic needs is more than I can handle alone.

I'm asking for help from our family, friends, and anyone with a caring heart. Every donation will go directly toward:

His medical treatment and hospital bills

Basic necessities (clothes, food, hygiene items)

Helping him rebuild a safe place to live once he recovers

Even the smallest gift means so much right now — it’s hope, comfort, and a reminder that he’s not alone.

If you can’t donate, please keep him in your prayers and share this page so others can see it. Our family is forever grateful for your kindness, love, and support during the most painful time of our lives.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with me.

With love and appreciation,

Conchie

(on behalf of Fernando and our family)
