Hello there everybody, My name is Fernando V. I am a 17 year old diagnosed and battling cancer! I have been living inside the hospital for around: 4 weeks now and it’s been hard , but I know I’m more than half way there and with God on my side and hopefully a little help, beating cancer would be a possibility. It’s GUARANTEED. Thank you to everyone supporting‼️  #Bandoblendz

Short Message from our 17 year old^^

His Mother :
Hello my name is Melissa, as many other parents going under the same nightmare feel exhausted and overwhelmed. Its so devastating to see your child suffer, regardless the gender, age or even setting, it gets very hard to see them cry and to see how their life changes in a matter of days.
Before our son Fernando was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia, he enjoyed a normal life.  He liked to play his guitar, go out with his friends, go to church and play video games.
Literally in less than a month, he jumped from a cold, Bell’s Palsy (in both sides of the face), an aggressive rash all over his body and finally cancer.  We couldn’t believe it! “your son has cancer” “he has liquid around his heart” “we have to drain this liquid so he could live” “cancerous cells were find in his bone marrow”.
Everything changed drastically, our “floor” shook, our family got hit by the most tuff nightmare.  After our son was admitted to the Children’s Minneapolis Hospital, we literally moved in with him, since day #1 we between floor #5 (PICU) and floor #7 (oncology and blood disorders floor). Living in a hospital implicates extra expenses and a drastically change in our daily routine.
Fernando’s biggest desire also changed a lot, his desire was to graduate early from high school and go to a barber school this summer, for obvious reasons he will only graduate from high school and wait until things get better to join the barber school.
Our oldest daughter had to quit her job to help our son at the hospital while dad worked and I took care of our youngest daughter, who also had many changes with her school work.  Unfortunately, the hospital’s WiFi isn’t prepared for home school, she missed so many classes and now is trying to catch up.
We appreciate our family’s (from California) support and prayers.  With our friends and family far away things get very hard.
We appreciate your prayers and support, our son’s treatment is just beginning.  If things go well, his treatment will last 2 years, we are praying and hoping for an easy treatment but with cancer it is hard to tell.
I will finish with this, many years ago, while the children were little I donated money every month for children with cancer.  I always thought that they had to go through a lot and needed our support to find a cure.
Now that we are fighting against cancer, now that we had the opportunity to live with others families in the hospital, all I can say is that these kids are champions!  every day they have to work very hard and deal with things that you and I probably couldn’t handle.  When you see a kid fighting cancer, don’t feel sorry for them or their family, feel blessed that you have the opportunity to meet a wonderful, amazing champion and a hero.  If you have faith and believe in miracles, pray for them and their families constantly.  They don’t need our pitty, they need our love and support ♥️
