Fernando Velarde Segovia es un padre, esposo, amigo y hermano incondicional. Nació en su amado Quito, Ecuador, y fue diagnosticado en marzo de 2014 con Cáncer Linfoma No Hodking, (NHL/Non Hodgkin Lymphoma). Un dolor abdominal y posteriores exámenes especializados evidenciaron una importante masa tumoral que abarcaba desde el páncreas hasta la pelvis. Recibió 7 quimioterapias para luego cumplir con éxito todos sus controles médicos.
En octubre de 2020, recibimos la triste noticia del crecimiento de un ganglio submandibular izquierdo, cuya biopsia ratificó la “reactivación” del NHL, con un linfoma agresivo que exigió urgentes sesiones de quimioterapia. Juntos y unidos en familia, estamos a la espera de al menos 18 sesiones de radioterapia para él.
Para finales de enero de 2021, Fernando ha recibido en total 3 quimioterapias y sigue su tratamiento con profunda FE y AMOR por la vida. Necesitamos tu apoyo para cubrir parte de este costoso tratamiento (quimioterapia, radioterapia, exámenes especializados, tomografías, PetScan) que resulta absolutamente oneroso, impactante en términos emocionales y económicos.

Fernando Velarde Segovia is an unconditional father, husband, friend, and brother. He was born in his beloved Quito, Ecuador. In March 2014, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer (NHL / Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma). Abdominal pain and subsequent specialized examinations revealed a significant tumor mass ranging from the pancreas to the pelvis. He received 7 chemotherapies, then completing all his medical controls.
In October 2020, we received the sad news of the growth of a left submandibular node, whose biopsy confirmed the “reactivation” of the NHL, with an aggressive lymphoma that required urgent chemotherapy sessions. Together and united as a family, we are waiting for at least 18 radiation therapy sessions for him.
By the end of January 2021, Fernando has received a total of 3 chemotherapies and continues his treatment with deep FAITH and LOVE for life. We need your support to cover part of this expensive treatment like chemotherapy, radiotherapy, specialized exams, CT scans, PetScan, which are expensive, emotionally, and financially shocking.
We hope that Fernando can continue to enjoy his life. We hope that we can continue enjoying his smile, his love for family, and his passion of helping others. We know that it will be possible with your donation.
