My name is Fernanda, and I am in my final semester at North Central Texas College, studying early education. My dream is to become a kindergarten through second grade teacher and inspire young students to love learning. I am proud to be the first person in my family to reach this milestone, and I am determined to finish strong so I can give back to my community as an educator.


Recently, new Texas laws have made it impossible for undocumented students like me to receive financial aid, as we are no longer considered Texas residents. This sudden change has left me without the support I was counting on to pay for my last semester. As an immigrant, I am also unable to work, which makes covering these costs even more challenging.


The funds raised will go directly toward my tuition, books, transportation, and supplies for my final semester. I need to pay these expenses by mid October to stay enrolled and complete my degree. Your support will not only help me achieve my dream but will also allow me to show my family and future students the power of perseverance and education.
