My name is Ruby. I live in San Diego , California.

In behalf of everyone in Cebu music scene, I am reaching out to ask for your kindness and support for our dear friend from Cebu, Philippines , Fern Villaflor, a family man, a musician and pioneer of the Cebu Ska music scene in the Philippines, who is now fighting the biggest battle of his life.

Fern has recently been diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease and urgently needs to undergo angioplasty—a life-saving heart procedure that costs around $10,000 (₱600,000). The financial strain is overwhelming, and we’re humbly asking for any help you can give to ease not just his financial burden, but also the emotional and physical toll this illness has brought.

As one of the founding members of the iconic Cebu Ska band “Who’s Next,” Fern dedicated much of his life to keeping local music alive, inspiring countless musicians and fans along the way. He has also played in Skalibre32 , Skanky Vibes and Buttons Up.

His heart has always been for the community—now it’s time for us to give back to him.
