My name is Patsy Gonzalez, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times in our lives. Recently, my husband, Fermin Berrios had open heart surgery, and everything changed overnight.

What started as a routine doctor’s visit quickly turned into hospital visits, tests, and a treatment plan that we never expected to face. While we are staying hopeful and focusing on a quick recovery, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

We are currently facing:

• Hospital stays

• Surgery/procedures

• Ongoing treatments/therapy

• Medications

• Specialist appointments

• Travel expenses to and from medical facilities

Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, co-pays, and time off work have added up faster than we could have imagined. As much as we wish we could manage this on our own, we truly need help.

Our main focus right now is recovery and healing. The last thing we want to worry about is how we will pay the next medical bill.
