I live on a quiet street near a river, and over the years, my porch has become a safe haven for several feral and stray cats and kittens. It all started with Sylvester, a cat whose former family moved away and left him behind. Sadly, he had been abused and is understandably wary of humans. Not long after, a friendly male we call Louie showed up, and together they became our regular porch cats. Neither of them are spayed or neutered, and as time went on, more feral cats began to appear.
Last winter, two female kittens arrived. I was able to pay for their neutering and found them new homes, but this year, three more cats have shown up. The number of cats needing help keeps growing, and while I do my best to feed them and provide shelters, my stray cat fund has been completely tapped out. I know that getting all of them fixed is the only way to stop the cycle of kittens being born and struggling to survive, but I simply can't afford it on my own.
The funds raised will go directly toward spaying and neutering these cats, making sure they get their shots and any other vet care they need, providing food and shelters, and covering the fees that shelters charge to take them in for re-homing. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in the lives of these cats. We are so thankful to anyone who has the means and desire to help. I hate to see any animal suffer and am committed to doing what's right—caring for the ones that are here and preventing more from being born to face life on the streets. Your support means the world to us.
