A few days ago, both of my dogs, Fenway and CC, managed to get out of my fenced yard. While CC returned home quickly, Fenway was missing for two long days. I was frantic with worry and used their GPS trackers, which kept leading me to a nearby address. I knocked on the door and spoke to the people there, but they hadn’t seen Fenway. It was a stressful and heartbreaking time, not knowing where he was or if he was safe.
On the second day, around 7 PM, I received a call from the police. Leslie, the woman I had spoken to earlier, had found Fenway. When I arrived, I saw that Fenway was injured and unable to walk on his back leg. I rushed him to the vet, where they discovered he had been bitten on his back left paw and had dislocated spots in his ankle. The estimate for his full treatment, including x-rays and proper care, is more than I can afford right now. I was only able to pay for wound cleaning, pain medication, and antibiotics, but Fenway desperately needs more care to recover.
Right now, Fenway spends most of his time in his bed, barely able to move. He tried to go outside last night but struggled for 20 minutes just to get back up the stairs. Today, he hasn’t left his bed at all. It breaks my heart to see him in pain and unable to enjoy life as he used to. I’m reaching out for help so Fenway can get the treatment he needs to heal and return to his happy, playful self. Please consider supporting us—any amount will make a difference. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
