Fenton, my 7-year-old retired assistance dog, tore his cruciate ligament and can’t use his leg.
If that sounds familiar, it's because he just had surgery in October for the same thing on his left leg! Alas, he was at an increased risk for a tear in his other leg because of this and it has finally happened.
We were having a blast at the beach when he turned suddenly and couldn't walk. I didn't know I had it in me but I lifted and carried all 32kg of him to the car because he couldn't walk. He's unfortunately not bearing any weight on his right leg at all - just like last time with his left leg.
I am still out of work after being laid off (despite my best efforts to find something) so I would really appreciate some help to cover the surgery and X-rays.
Thank you so much,
Lina & Fenton
