Fendi is my three-year-old French bulldog who has been my constant companion in my life, she is the most energetic and loving dog I’ve ever had and she is losing that. She helped me throughout my worst years of high school, cope with the loss of loved ones and was by my side through my worst times, she was with me when I felt like I had absolutely no one else. Recently, I received a call from my family letting me know that Fendi was showing symptoms of IVDD, a serious spinal condition. Being away at college has made this even more difficult, as I can’t be there to comfort her or help directly. Fendi is struggling to walk, has developed a fever, is hardly eating and is just a husk of who she was before. Her condition requires urgent surgery and ongoing medication to give her the best chance at recovery. I’ve already taken out loans for her medicine and am using every available resource, including my school funds, my every paycheck and scholarship, to cover her care. Despite these efforts, the costs are overwhelming. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Fendi’s surgery and medication, helping her get the treatment she needs to heal and hopefully return to her happy, loving self.
