Felix is the foundation of our family. He is our provider—financially, physically, and spiritually, and an incredible husband and father who gives everything he has to those he loves. He’s also just the absolute love of my life!

As a child, Felix had epilepsy but outgrew it during puberty. For nearly 20 years, he lived seizure-free. Two weeks ago, without warning, he experienced a severe seizure that changed everything. The intensity of the seizure caused fractures in both of his shoulders, significant muscle damage, and complete muscle detachment from the bones.

Felix now requires double shoulder surgery and will be unable to work for approximately three months during recovery.

This has placed an overwhelming physical, emotional, and financial strain on our family. With my own limitations from MS, I am unable to take over many of the daily tasks Felix normally handles, making everyday life especially challenging.

The stress of this situation has also been incredibly heavy on us mentally and emotionally, and we are deeply concerned about preventing another seizure, as stress was identified as the trigger for this one.

We live paycheck to paycheck, and while we always find a way to make things work, this setback has put us in a very difficult position—especially with household bills continuing while Felix is unable to work.

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness shown by Felix’s coworkers, who surprised us with a generous Costco haul that has helped tremendously with food. Unfortunately, our ongoing household expenses remain a major concern.

We have always been a family that gives with our whole hearts, and asking for help does not come easily. Any support—whether financial, through prayers, or by sharing this fundraiser—would mean more to us than we can express.
