Our sweet Felix has been part of our family since 2018, and he’s always been the gentlest, most loving companion. On December 9th, 2025, Felix managed to get out of our yard and was hit by a car. The driver didn’t stop, but a kind woman nearby heard the impact, saw Felix, and rushed him to Alpine Animal Hospital. We are so grateful for her ❤️ .

Felix is alive, but he suffered a broken hip in two places and now needs major surgery to recover. The veterinary team will need to place screws, a plate, and other hardware to help his hip heal correctly. This isn’t the first time Felix has faced something like this. He was hit once before in 2018, but we couldn’t afford surgery then. This time, we’re determined to give him the best chance at a full recovery. However, the costs for surgery, medications, and follow-up appointments are overwhelming. Felix is the sweetest boy, always patient with our daughter and still so gentle and loving, even after all he’s been through. We’re doing everything we can to cover this unexpected expense, but we can’t do it alone. Any support, whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, or sending kind words, would mean the world to us.
