Help Felix Get Urgent Surgery

Story

Hello. I am Felix's new mom. I have had Felix for 2 weeks. I had gotten in contact with a rescue that specifically helps older/senior animals find furever homes. He came to me because my late little boy Tigger passed away due to a full trachea collapse. So I adopted Felix. He is a precious 11-pound bundle of fun. I took him to my vet yesterday as I thought he had a bladder infection, only to find out he has 2 bladder stones with the smaller one in his urethra. He needs this surgery right away and the soonest my vet could get him in is Thursday, July 24th. This surgery is needed as the one in his urethra could block at any time and he could pass away. The cost of the surgery is starting at $1500 and could surpass $2000. This little guy was brought into the shelter in Florida on June 10th. Then on the 11th, he underwent an umbilical hernia repair. They were going to do a dental cleaning, but his stats dropped drastically, so they had to stop. I then received him through the Helping Paw Parents organization, where they arranged a transport from Florida to Illinois, where I got my first glimpse of a scared pup. He had an E collar on after his hernia repair. Poor little guy was scared. Within a few hours of meeting my friend's dogs, little Felix opened up and was wagging his tail happily. I myself, after the expense of Tigger at the emergency clinic and paying nearly $2000 to say goodbye to my little love, opened my home and found love for this little guy who has so much more love to offer. I am having a difficult time seeing my way to pay for this expense. I am disabled and live alone on a very fixed income. I am asking anyone for even just a few dollars to help little Felix and myself to be able to enjoy each other's company. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you, Michelle and Felix
