Support Felisha's Fight Against MS and Arthritis

Hi, my name is Felisha; I'm a 38 y/o single mother of two boys (8 & 9).

On 2/17/23, I was diagnosed with RRMS (Relapsing/Remitting MS). Since then, I've lost some mobility in my right leg and have been diagnosed with arthritis. I was deemed unable to work normally due to physical limitations that come with this disease, a disease in which the immune system eats away at the protective covering of nerves. Resulting nerve damage disrupts communication between the brain and the body. Multiple sclerosis causes many different symptoms, including vision loss, pain, fatigue, and impaired coordination. The symptoms, severity, and duration can vary from person to person. Some people may be symptom-free most of their lives, while others can have severe chronic symptoms that never go away.

If it's too cold or hot, if I stand too long or sit too long, if I'm overworked or stressed, my symptoms can be triggered, and it can leave me unable to continue throughout the day. I don't qualify for disability as I apparently haven't obtained enough points, and equally sad, I don't have the support around to aid me until I can find stable work.

Over the last 5 years, I have left an abusive relationship, leaving the place I spent 5 years making a home and having to raise my boys on my own as I don't receive much, if any, reliable aid from their father. The pandemic didn't help either with the lockdown and me having to do my best to stay safe from getting COVID.

The car has also decided to fail me, and I regrettably don't make enough to get it fixed properly at this time, which causes me issues with getting to appointments and, at times, can cause difficulties in going further out of my area to find better employment.

To speak personally, I'm disheartened because I don't know what to do anymore. I'm making this GoFundMe as a last resort in the hopes that I may be blessed with what I need to at least get the car back up and running.

I'm not trying to make it rich or buy a home or never have to work again; I just want to be able to get to my appointments without needing to take an Uber/Lyft/taxi as I don't always have that extra money. I wish to take my boys to the park or museum at random and not stress if I will be able to have enough to pay for an Uber/Lyft/taxi. It's just me and my boys as they wouldn't be in the best care with their father, so I can't give up, but the more obstacles that get in my way, the more I worry and stress, which trigger my symptoms, and then I'm left stuck in bed. I left my ex to give me and my boys a better, safer life, but now I worry I'm failing.

In the end, I'm just hoping for my prayers to be answered.
