Feline Advocats Team Sacramento (F.A.C.T.S.) is a newly formed organization that is dedicated to accessible spay/neuter and TNR services while serving as a trusted connector, linking caregivers and community members with the resources and partnerships that control pet and community cat over population and improve the lives of cats.
Feline Advocats is actively involved in the greater Sacramento area working with organizations across the tri-county area. In March 2026 alone, FACTS was involved with:
Veterinary Care
- Secured 40 spay/neuter appointments - providing essential preventative care to reduce stray and feral cat populations.
- Lined up projects to utilize all available appointments by reaching out to individuals who requested assistance and clearly explaining the process to them.
- Facilitated urgent medical care for a cat needing eye removal by leveraging networks to secure an emergency appointment.
Community Engagement and Support
- Organized local trappers to support TNR efforts, customizing approaches to each unique location and situation.
- Responded daily to new requests for help, communicating with residents about their place in the schedule and prioritizing higher-risk cases.
- Assessed properties in advance of non-urgent TNR projects, prioritizing face-to-face engagement
- Maintained ongoing outreach through social media to raise awareness and keep the community informed of animal welfare initiatives.
