My name is Felicia Amaro, I am 40 years old.
I am from Maroon Town St James in Jamaica. Our town has been devastated by hurricane Melissa.
My mother, father, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and extended community all have had their lives as they know it taken from them. While I am lucky enough to be living in America working as a Nanny, they are stranded in Maroon town with limited food water and shelter. Their homes have been completely destroyed.
They need immediate funds to build shelter, have fresh water, and to feed themselves. In due course, they will use the funds to rebuild decades of property and community that is now gone. I will not use the money to help just my family but as many people in our town as possible.
I am helping them with what I earn from working in America but I cannot do this all on my own. Please support by giving what you can, and may god bless you.
