My name is Spencer. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Felicia and Mark Mayville. I just wanna start by stating this family has already been through so much as they not long ago just passed the 2-year anniversary of losing their only child to Osteosarcoma in this house.

Now, in the late hours of September 9th, 2025, they woke to smoke filling their bedroom and crackling noises as the window melted. Luckily, they escaped and also managed to get the little girl they are looking after and their dogs out safely before the fire completely destroyed the back half of their house, at this point completely condemning the house. They have not been allowed in to assess the damage yet, but it seems to be a complete and total loss to all of their clothes and belongings in the adults' room and all their hygiene products.

They will now need to find a new home and unfortunately did not have renters insurance. This family has already been through the worst imaginable thing I could personally think of with losing their only child to cancer and now losing the home they practically raised him and lost him in. To say they are distraught is an understatement. If you can't afford to help, it's totally understandable, but if you could share, it helps.
