On September 19th 2024, my family’s life changed forever.

My son Vernon collapsed at home, unable to walk, and was rushed to the emergency room. Doctors informed us that his HIV had led to life-threatening complications, requiring emergency brain surgery. Meningitis fluid had spread to his spine and brain, causing him to lose mobility in his legs.

Currently, my beloved son is bravely fighting for his life in the ICU, enduring a series of devastating health challenges. Recently, we were informed that his condition has worsened—he has suffered multiple strokes, leading to the loss of his hearing and further setbacks to his recovery.

With the holidays approaching, the financial burden of mounting medical expenses, specialized care, and the daily hour-long commutes to be by his side has been overwhelming. We are seeking support to help cover these costs and ensure Vernon gets the care he desperately needs to reclaim his life.
