Help Felicia Blythe's Family With Medical & Funeral Expenses

I am Felicia Blythe's brother, Darren Lloyd, and I want to share some remarkable things about my sister. Felicia has dedicated about 40 years of her life to the healthcare profession, diligently working to enhance healthcare in the communities where she has resided for most of her adult years. She began her career as a surgical technician in the operating room and later pursued a nursing degree. What makes her nursing journey even more impressive is that she pursued her degree while caring for six children at home to become a registered nurse!

A few months ago, Felicia began feeling ill during her regular shift at the hospital in Beatrice, NE. Despite not being able to secure an appointment with her primary care doctor, she reached out to another doctor and was able to set up a same-day appointment. Following a series of tests, she was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism and sent to the heart hospital in Lincoln. Further extensive examinations revealed that she also had stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had already spread to her liver, and she spent several days in the hospital trying to rid her body of the clots. After resting at home for a couple of weeks, she had a stroke, which complicated her situation even further. After more than five total weeks in the hospital, and 2 weeks on hospice, Felicia passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 surrounded by family.

Due to extensive time spent in the hospital, medical bills have accrued and continue to mount, as well as funeral expenses.
